野呂田 晋 展 「recognition」

野呂田 晋　/　Norota Susumu

1972年 札幌市生まれ。

2008年に写真を始めましたが、「暗い・・意味がわからない・・・」という反応が多く、表現したいことと作品がフィットしない違和感を感じ続けていました。その後、2017年に写真を「素材」として（コラージュ）作品を作るようになり、少しだけ違和感は鳴りを潜めています。そして、それから6年が経ち、再びより写真的な要素に立ち戻りつつあるのを感じています。

本展の作品は、人が無意識に認識する景色（イメージ）について、その処理や作用などについて思考しながら制作した作品群です。長年の経験によるイメージの再構成にあっても決して上書きされず強固に保持され続けるイメージはあるのか、あるならどのようなものか、または存在しないのか、ご自身の記憶と照らし合わせながらご覧いただけると幸いです。

Susumu Norota Exhibition

Susumu Norota was born in Sapporo in 1972.

When I started taking pictures in 2008, many of the reactions were, "It's dark... I don't know what it means...". I think I continued to feel uncomfortable because the content I wanted to express and the work did not fit. After that, in 2017, when I started creating works (collages) using photographs as “materials,” the sense of incongruity has subsided a little. And now, six years later, I find myself returning to more photographic elements again.

The works in this exhibition are a group of works created while thinking about the processing and effects of landscapes (images) that people unconsciously perceive. Do you have an image that will not be overwritten and will continue to be held firmly even if the image is reconfigured through many years of experience? If so, what kind of image is it? Or does such a thing not exist? I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the works in this exhibition and compare them with your own memories.
